Aufgrund des großen Erfolges der im Januar d.J. eingeführten GOTS Webinare hat der Vorstand der GOTS kurzfristig beschlossen ein sogenanntes postolympisches Webinar zu organisieren.
Die Olympischen Spiele sind 'das Highlight' der Sportwelt und fordern nicht nur die besten Athleten dieser Welt heraus, sondern stellen auch logistisch und medizinisch große Herausforderungen dar. Es freut uns daher, eine ausgezeichnete Auswahl an Rednern für die Gesellschaft gewonnen zu haben, die vor Ort in Tokyo in der Organisation der medizinischen Versorgung impliziert waren, sei es in der Betreuung nationaler Mannschaften oder in der Sportklinik vor Ort bzw. der vom IOC organisierten Verletzungsüberwachung. Sie werden von ihren Erfahrungen berichten und die Besonderheiten hervorheben, die ohnehin bei einem Event dieser Größenordnung zu meistern sind, aber dieses Jahr durch die extremen Hitzeverhältnisse und die Pandemie noch verstärkt wurden.

is currently the Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Oslo University Clinic and Head of Medical Sciences in the International Olympic Committee. He is also the Professor of the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences and the Co-chair of the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center and has been the President of the Norwegian Sports Medicine Society and European Society of Sports Traumatology and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). He is specialized in knee ligaments, cartilage and prevention of sports injuries and illnesses.
is the Vice president of the GOTS Germany and working as Head of Department Orthopedics and Sportmedicine, Klinikum Osnabrueck with a specialisation in shoulder and knee surgery. During the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 he was Deputy Chief medical officer of the German Olympic Team. Since 2016 he is Head Team physician of the German Triathlon Federation.
Orthopaedic and sports medicine specialist, works as head of sports orthopaedics at the Sports Clinic of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. He is Vice-President of the Luxembourg Society for Sports Medicine (SLMS), member of the GOTS Children's Sports Orthopaedics Committee and was Olympic physician for Team Luxembourg in London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
is Head of Division of Neurosciences and Musculoskeletal Diseases of the Centre Hospitalier Luxembourg and extraordinary Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Saarland in Homburg/Saar, Germany. His clinical focus as orthopaedic surgeon is on orthopedic sports medicine and knee endoprosthetics. R. Seil is currently President of the German-speaking Society of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (GOTS) and the Luxembourg Institute of Research in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Science (LIROMS). In addition, he is Past-President of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and Co-director of the Luxembourg Olympic Medical Centre.
is director at the Department of Sports Medicine at the Humboldt University and the Charité University Medicine Berlin. He is specialized in internal medicine and sports medicine. His scientific interest is on genetics, performance and trainability. He is President of the German Association for Sports Medicine and Prevention (DGSP) and Chief medical officer of the German National Olympic Committee.
is director of Clinical Center for Sports Medicine and Sports Dentistry, Tokyo Medical and Dental University and Hospital Professor at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. He is one of the councilors of JOSSM (Japanese Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine) and a Member of Information, Medical and Scientific Committee, Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) as well as of the Academic Committee, Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA). He is specialized in orthpaedics and sports medicine. During the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games he was the Clinical Chief of Polyclinic and also attended the Winter Olympics in 2014 and the 5th Asian Beach Games in 2016 as physician.
